Rehumanizing Yourself in Your Library Work, Closing Keynote

A Talk by Nisha Mody (she/her, Liberatory Life Coach + Facilitator)

About this Talk

Library workers are often seen as service providers. But in a world where service is undervalued, this can lead to burnout, invisibility, and disconnection. When care becomes expected but not reciprocated, it’s easy to feel more like a resource than a human being. While we can’t always control when or how systems will change, we can begin by rehumanizing ourselves. This closing keynote invites you to shift from depletion to sustainability by setting compassionate boundaries, centering care that includes you, and building relational systems that support you to rehumanize yourself in library work.
